Save A Stray is a dedicated animal welfare organization based in Noida, established in 2019 to alleviate the suffering of street animals. Through our initiatives, we provide over 4,000 animals with food, water, medical care, and shelter every day. Our mission is to build a world where kindness towards animals is a way of life. With limited resources and an abundance of passion, we continue to expand our efforts to give voiceless animals the love and care they deserve.
A Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with a Single Step
The eerie silence of the sudden lockdown in March 2020 amplified the cries of hungry stray dogs on the streets of Noida. Our furry friends, bewildered by the absence of the few friendly humans they depended on, roamed the streets hungry, thirsty, and utterly hopeless. The distressed cries of these voiceless creatures were impossible to ignore. Driven by compassion, we decided to take a stand, putting our strong resolve and limited resources into action. From these humble beginnings, Save A Stray was born.
The Heart Behind the Mission
Vidit Sharma, the founder of Save A Stray, is the driving force behind this impactful initiative. His unwavering dedication and commitment have enabled us to feed over 3,000 animals daily and provide essential medical care. Vidit’s selflessness is evident in his actions—donating 50% of his salary to the organization and earning admiration from numerous dignitaries for his humanitarian efforts. With a history of service since 2011, including contributions to NGOs like Vision4Care, Vidit has made compassion his life’s mission, inspiring countless others along the way.
